Atheism’s New Face: Still Lipstick on a Pig?

Monday Morning Paper for Monday, November 24 (’14)

The Huffington Post published a new article on a new breed of atheism-earthAtheism.  And by “new”, I mean only “new” in comparison to the Dawkinses or Harrises and more in line with the deGrasse Tysons.  We’ve heard so much from the former two that it’s easy to forget there are atheists not trying to destroy what they don’t believe in (namely, God).   It’s more (somewhat) an attempt at a positive construction than a negative deconstruction—it’s meant to build up rather than tear down.

Daniel Hoffman will write a response to that article this Thursday (Turkey Day, no less!), but it’s worth reading in the meantime.
